ROBOTERA (星动纪元) is a Beijing humanoid robotics company established in August 2023 by Chen Jianyu, an assistant professor at Tsinghua University's Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences. It develops both robot hardware and embodied-AI software, including the ERA-42 vision-language-action model. Its commercial products include the STAR1 humanoid, the Q5 and the XHand 1 dexterous hand. In July 2025 the company said it had delivered more than 200 units and named Haier Smart Home and Lenovo among its customers.
